Administrator for an ongoing role (1 day per week).
This role would best suit someone with the requisite experience, a
common-sense approach to their work, an ability to work on their own

OVERVIEW
Working with the Co-ordinator with regard to technical support on
financial accounting for the organisation
Oversight of day-to-day administration to ensure the smooth and
effective running of the organisation.
THE FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR ROLE:
CONTRACT: Part-time

office, St Cronan?s BNS, Vevay Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow
WORKING HOURS: 1 day per week
REPORTING TO: The Co-ordinator
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Undertake bookkeeping?duties, including preparation of monthly
bank reconciliations for multiple Bank Accounts, posting of receipts
and other non-creditor transactions to SAGE nominal ledger.
* Preparation of management accounts and cash flow projections.
* Preparation of payroll monthly.
* Preparation of budget submissions, financial reports to funders
and project funding applications.
* Ensuring adherence to the organisations? internal financial
controls with regard to purchasing, fundraising and authorisation of
expenditure.
* Managing creditors ledger, ensuring accurate recording of
expenditure against cost headings and programme budgets, and
apportionment of shared costs across programmes, and posting of
journals to nominal ledger as appropriate.
* Ensuring timely and accurate processing of creditors invoices and
generating payment runs through EFT
* Assisting with the annual financial audit of the organisation.
* Working with Co-ordinator with regard to technical support on
financial accounting matters to ensure the smooth and effective
running of the organisation.
* Liaise with the staff, Management Committee, volunteers,
contractors and creditors and debtors when required.
* Maintain records and files adhering to best practice guidelines
around data protection and GDPR.
* Complete other administrative tasks on the direction of Senior
Staff from time to time.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
_ESSENTIAL_
* Experience with Accounting software Sage **Apply on the website**
essential.
* Experience in accounts and payroll returns.
* Attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills.
* Self-starter with an ability to work on own initiative
* Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient IT Skills especially in the Microsoft Suite.
* Finance administration experience
_DESIRABLE_
* Knowledge of Compliance and Governance requirements under Charity
Guidelines.
* Minimum 3 years? experience in a similar role.
* Finance administration experience, preferably in the
not-for-profit sector
Initial one-year fixed term contract, subject to six-month probation
period.
